Last night was one of the scarriest moments I've ever had.
I have a gum infection and the dentist had prescribed an antibiotic pill and oral wash. I'd taken my first tablet last night and about twenty minutes later I brushed my teeth and swished the oral wash.
Within 2 minutes I had hives on my back and itching in a few other places, kinda ignored as my skin is so sensitive that when it gets cold I tend to itch and get hives. However, my ears then felt like they were going to blow right off my head. I asked Jordan, my 4.5 year old son if my face was red. He said "oh mama, it's very red." So I looked in mirror and the peptobismal color shirt that I was wearing was a pale white compared to the deep red of my face and ears. I woke up my mom and showed her, she said I needed to call pharmasist that I was having an allergic reaction to some medicine. He told me to take 2 tsp of the children's Benedryl I had in house.
With in 30 minutes I was being rushed to the emergency room. My balloons, I mean feet were rock hard nails had turned purple-black, my heartbeat was 100 and increasing, I was hyperventalating because I couldn't catch my breath and I had blisters covering my body. I basically looked like the inside of an overripe watermelon.
In the middle of all of this Jordan told my mom to watch over me and went in the hallway and started praying. He came in after a moment, and said "mama this is the plan, you need to call all the women @ First Choice Pregnancy Center (work, and he never shortens the name) and tell them to pray for you; you'd better call Miss Barbara first because she's a nurse she'll take care of you.
Jordan was quite my man last night. He was so worried when Daddy wouldn't let him come to hospital with us. I thought the world was going to end today when he heard I was going to work alone today. He needed to do his job and watch over me. I choke up thinking about how compassionate this boy that can really drive me crazy is.
The emergency room experience was incredible, our normal waiting time is 2-3 hours, I was w/ a physician in 10 minutes. He gave me steroids and the Benedryl was kicking in so he observed for an hour and I was able to go home and sleep.
Thank heaven for my little boy who could be so calm!

Java Jordy

Jordy was less than 18 months in this photo. It is his induction to being "his Mommy's Boy! I scrapbooked this page with embellishments from Starbucks and took the completed art to the manager @ my local Starbucks to show her and a lady behind me started yelling @ me for giving my baby coffee!
First of all maam, this is an empty cup, no one could touch a full cup of mine and live; then we must all understand that coffee is in my blood, any addiction began @ conception.
Love you Java Jordy!

Friends Forever
Friends love in all times. The best of times the worst of times. My husband has truly blessed me with the deepest understanding of friendship I've ever had.
I think Best friends are a requirement for a happy life. Jesus of course is the ultimate friend, He's even beyond the best. Tomie's my best woman friend, more about her later....but Brent-he's my best man.
My health has put us through a lot this last year and I thank you for loving in sickness and in health.
My favorite memories and best times with you are late at night when everyone else is asleep and we can talk for hours. Part of what adds the speciality to those times is that it makes us feel like kids again, sneaking in the kitchen for snacks at a slumber party-you've been told to go to sleep for the hundredth and last time and yet...two still remain awake and whispering the secrets of their hearts.
Mommy's Note to Mr. Buttinski
What are you thinking Mr. Jordan Lee Taylor? Uncle Josh taught you the chicken?
But I do love your hair. Snagged it right off your sisters head to get some attention, huh?
Son, you add so much joy to my life. I love your smile. You get your charm from me. LOL.
In this picture Jordan is right about 4.5 years old and everyday reminding us that it's almost Christmas. "What does Christmas mean to you Jordo?" "My Birthday is coming, Yeah".
You have so many names. Jordy, Jordo, Monkey, but of all Mr. Buttinski describes you best. I suspected, when at birth you turned so the camera would be aimed right at you, that for the rest of your life that would be your goal....lights, camera, action, focus right on ME.
Aint She Sweet
May I introduce you to Miss Allyssa Kay Taylor. In this photo she has just turned four months old and sweet as pie! She has started eating stage one fruits and veggies today. I'll post some of those soon.
I was always afraid to have a daughter, afraid she'd be just like me and I couldn't take that! The entire universe isn't big enough for another me!
You can't tell in this picture how much fun we had with Allyssa and this wig....she almost looks like she's ready to pull it off, however, she is getting ready to taste a bite.

I've been tagged
I've been tagged to share 7 things about myself.....
1. I think coffee is part of a healthy food group- This food group is called "Let me it for your health sake" Chocolate also is contained in this group. I love everything coffee...except that gum, I can't understand a coffee flavored gum! I have told my family that if I'm ever in acoma to put coffee in the IV and wave chocolate under my nose hourly! If I'm not revived that way, don't waste any more money!
2. I love roses. Ok maybe this one should actually say, I love elegance and roses to me, define elegance.
3. I'm an executive. I have had a hard time coming to grips with that. I thought it was a bad thing and impossible to love being a mom and love being an executive, having such a strong desire to work.
4. I always wanted to be a mom and wife. I didn't like to play with kids growing up, I was always a miniature adult. I'd play "house" and "office". I remember saying in Sunday school class at 13, "I'll be an old maid if I'm not married and having kids by the time I'm 19"....I turned 32, 7 months after marriage; I turned 34, six months after our son was born. WOW!
5. I love red. Deep dark red, not bright clown nose red! Purple is still my favorite color though.
6. I can't stand my feet covered! I would rather walk around barefoot (growing up in Bullhead City, I'd walk around barefoot 120 degree weather-that dirt was hot!). I can be freezing cold, snuggle up in a blanket and there you'll see if you look close enough my 10 little piggys sticking out!
7. November - January are my favorite months and they seem to go by too quickly! I love brisk cold air, but don't take my breath away Mr. Frost. I love to snuggle. Must be why I love wearing sweaters that wrap around and keep you snuggy.
This is another brief glimpse of me.
